Moo Deng joins a cast of global household-name animals that have been swallowed whole in promotional posters for the giant snake movie “Beware Boiúna”.
The posters carry the tagline “You’ve heard of …” and show outlines of world-famous viral animals — including the Seattle raccoon Jimothy, Japanese macaque Punch Kun and Thai superstar Moo Deng — inside a giant snake.
The synopsis provided by Lionsgate studio for Beware Boiúna reads: “A team of doctors embarks on a local mission in the Amazon rainforest, but it soon becomes clear that not everybody or everything is happy to see them. Their sudden appearance draws the attention of an animal predator, the Boiúna.”
The horror adventure is directed by Mike P Nelson and stars Logan Marshall-Green, Jessica Rothe and Kiana Madeira. It has been given an R rating and will open in US theatres on Oct 2.
No animals were harmed in the making of the posters, of course. Moo Deng is alive and well, and still very much not inside a snake..
