Montez Sweat, Terry McLaurin are Redskins’ remaining unsigned draft picks

The Washington Redskins got Dwayne Haskins under contract Thursday, alongside several other members of the rookie class.

Only Montez Sweat and Terry McLaurin remain.

McLaurin, Haskins’ teammate at Ohio State, isn’t too much of a surprise as third-round picks tend to take a bit longer thanks to offset details.

But Sweat is more interesting.

He was extremely high on the draft board, which Jay Gruden confirmed. The Redskins ended up trading up to get him.

But Sweat also had the heart condition issue. It was waved off as a potential misdiagnosis and the Redskins don’t sound too worried about it, but it is something to keep in mind if this continues.

The Redskins are counting on Sweat to have a massive impact on the pass rush this season, so the sooner he’s in camp the better.

Still, having half of the first-round picks and the majority of the class under contract already isn’t a bad look for the Redskins.
