Montessori Nursery in Bothwell helped a number of charities over Christmas

Children who attend Montessori Nursery in Bothwell were involved in helping very worthy charities at Christmas.

First up, the youngsters and their families supported the Advertiser’s annual toy appeal and donated five boxes of goodies for needy children and young people across Lanarkshire.

Their drawings raised £610 for SAMH. (Hamilton Advertiser)

They then donated an incredible amount of food and other items to Viewpark Foodbank in connection with Bothwell and Uddingston Wonderful Window Project, which was organised by a parent of a nursery pupil.

Finally, the children designed their own framed rainbow picture for SAMH – Scottish Association for Mental Health – and their parents then purchased the pictures for a donation and raised an amazing total of £610 for the charity.
