Montenotte Hotel in Cork adds glasshouse-style bar in €1 million investment

A Cork hotel has made a stunning addition to its space as we leave pandemic restrictions behind.

Months in the making and completed as we exited the last lockdown, The Glasshouse is the latest addition to the Montenotte Hotel, already famous for its panoramic bar terrace that has the most amazing views of the city.

The new covered glasshouse-style bar shares those views and has an outside terrace that looks back across the city toward the historic docks and across to the southside.

Cork Beo reports the total investment is around the €1m mark and the style is Art-Deco cocktail bar - the hotel's mixologists will be standing by to shake up all of the classics in a very stylish setting.

General Manager Brian Bowler said everybody at The Montenotte Hotel was "incredibly excited that The Glasshouse is now open."

"It’s hard to believe that just a few months ago, this space was an under-used outdoor terrace and has since been transformed into a stylish rooftop bar and terrace, rivalling any Irish or international establishment."

"The Glasshouse is a real game-changer and is a must visit destination experience in Cork.”

To celebrate the opening, The Montenotte is offering Sunset Breakaway Packages for two with include one-night B&B, lunch on the terrace and a reserved table at the Glasshouse and cocktails.

And even if you are not staying over, you can now book a table at The Glasshouse on the The Montenotte Hotel website.
