Montana Brown blames social media trolls for Mike Thalassitis taking his own life

Love Island 's Montana Brown lashed out at social media trolls as she blamed them for Mike Thalassitis' tragic death.

Mike , who was on the 2017 series with Montana, was found dead last month after taking his own life.

He was just 26.

As she returned to social media to show off her new look, Montana hit out at trolls who target people with nasty messages.

She suggested they could be the ones to blame for Mike's struggling state of mind.

The 23-year-old said: "I just wanted to say sorry I haven't been very present on stories and everything, I've just looked a little bit like an egg and I didn't wash my hair for quite some time and I just wasn't really up to it.

"But yeah, I'm back, I'm still very sad, I don't think you ever really get over something like this, but yeah, lots of exciting things coming up and there are things to be happy about as well.

"So love you all so much, and I got my hair done and I finally put some make up on, it's a miracle."

She added: "And I actually wanted to say a massive humongous gigantic thank you to everybody who messaged me.

"Honestly, I did think social media was a place for torment and for perfect people, but it's actually been amazing the support from strangers as well as influencers and my friends and my amazing boyfriend.

"It's honestly been overwhelming and it's really helped so thank you so much, and I said to myself I wasn't going to say the next part, but you trolls out there are the reason that people get in such a bad place and people get insecurities, so if you could just remove yourself from the internet that would be ideal."
