BHOPAL: Monsoon has withdrawn from the state on Tuesday and clear weather would prevail in absence of a system or moisture incursion in the state. But the weather may change again after two days.
Officials of the meteorological department, Bhopal circle said, monsoon has withdrawn from the entire state. However, the state will witness the impact of a cyclonic circulation and a few places in the state including Bhopal may witness showers around October 14. The temperature would start going down once the system clears after October 20.
Day temperature in Bhopal on Tuesday was recorded at 33.8 degrees Celsius, a degree more than normal mark, while night temperature in the city was 20.4 degrees Celsius, which was at the normal mark.
Wind direction in the city was northerly and average wind speed was 10 km per hour. In the forecast for Bhopal on Wednesday the meteorological officials said there would be mainly clear sky and dry weather will prevail in the city. Day and night temperature in the city would be respectively at 35 degrees Celsius and 20 degrees Celsius while average wind speed will be 14 kmph.
In the forecast for state meteorological officials issued warning of thunder and lightning for places including Barwani, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Dhar, Ratlam, Dewas, Mandsaur, Neemuch and Chhindwara. The weather would be dry over other places in the state, officials added.
