Monopolies get together

Reuters reports that BT has signed a deal with Microsoft to enhance its broadband services in the UK. The two companies say they will be developing applications for multi-media home computing, mobile computing, portals and applications for business, over a grand total of 30 projects. Microsoft will become the "software and content partner" for BT's home computing service, reports the wire service.
