'Monks' with five synthesisers on Troopers Hill in unusual sight this morning

A rather unusual sight was spotted on Troopers Hill this morning as Bristolians headed out for a Saturday morning stroll.

Rob Acton-Campbell arrived at the nature reserve to find four men, apparently dressed as a monks, with five synthesisers set up. One of the men was overlooking the area, as others took their dogs for a walk at the beauty spot.

A second photo shows four other people similarly dressed as what appear to be monks. One of the people was carrying a box of some form, although there is no indication of what was in it.

Someone who appeared to be a dog walker was also captured in the photo with his head bent, seemingly bowing at the people passing, while a dog ran around. It is not entirely clear what they were doing - Rob, who took the photos, says that they were filming a video, although he has no idea who they are.

The Friends of Troopers Hill volunteer group also commented on Rob's tweet, saying that they don't know who the people were, but did point out that a band called Lindix released a piece called "Monk with a Synth" a couple of years ago (listen here if you're interested).

No doubt it provided some entertainment to those out for a stroll on Troopers Hill this morning either way.
