Monklands set for traffic disruption as three roads set for five-day closures next month

Traffic disruption is set to hit Monklands as three roads in the area prepare for five-day closures next month.

Airdrie’s Grahamshill Avenue will be shut for five days from October 11 for a lead pipe renewal.

The closure will be between the road’s properties 19 and 23 from midnight on October 11, with Drumgelloch Street, the A89 Forrest Street and McGregor Avenue acting as diversions for drivers.

And carriageway resurfacing will see two Coatbridge roads close for five days.

Woodside Street-to-Lismore Drive will shut to Appin Way from October 17-22.

Motorists will be able to use Mitchell Street and Viewfield Road as alternative routes throughout the closures.
