Airdrie foodbank received a vital funding boost when they received a welcome donation of £100.
Staff at the critical care department at Monklands Hospital handed over the cheque on behalf of a grateful patient, who had made the donation as a thank you.
David Findlay, the foodbank manager, said: “This generous donation from will help boost our funds in this difficult time.”
Foodbank representative John Sheridan collected the donation from Monklands Hospital staff members Morag Rennie and charge nurse Lyndsey Kearney.
Airdrie foodbank is also “urgently” seeking new volunteers to help with their work – anyone who can assist can contact the group via their website or by finding Airdrie Foodbank on Facebook.
