Monklands readers are wanted to appear in the new series of BBC Scotland show The Big Scottish Book Club.
Hosted by top author Damian Barr, the show is returning for a second series this autumn – and production crews would love to hear from interested book groups from Airdrie and Coatbridge.
They say: “We’re looking for any groups with a passion for literature, discussion, or who just love getting together for a good chat about books.”

Interested participants are asked to email bsbc.bookgroup@iwcmedia.co.uk to apply, giving information about their local group, by the application deadline of September 14.
Organisers say chosen groups must be available for filming in the week of September 28, and add: “All filming will be carried out safely in accordance with government guidelines on Covid-19.
“Due to the uncertain nature of Covid, filming plans may be subject to short-term changes or cancellations but we will endeavour to let you know in good time.”
