Monica and Chandler reunite as Courteney Cox and Matthew Perry pose for rare selfie

Courteney Cox has sent the internet into meltdown after she reunited with her Friends co-star Matthew Perry this week.

The pair, who played married couple Monica Geller and Chandler Bing in the classic sitcom, met up to have lunch together on Thursday afternoon.

Courteney, 55, posted a rare picture with her onscreen husband, 50, on Instagram and it quickly racked up 2.5million likes from delighted Friends fans.

In the snap Matthew stands behind Courteney as she leans in close while they both pull big grins for the camera.

She captioned the photo: "Guess who I had lunch with today....I KNOW!!

"Could I BE any happier? #realfriends."

Their Friends co-stars Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow were quick to comment on the snap.

"MATTY!! I LOVE YOU, GUYS," Jennifer, who played Rachel Green, said alongside a string of love heart emojis.

Phoebe Buffay herself Lisa commented: "Lucky lucky. #beautifulpeople."

And fans flooded the snap with thousands of comments, with one writing: "Mr and Mrs Bing looking hotter then ever.

"This makes me so happy," another posted.

A third wrote: "Doesn't this just make your day?"

Last week as he enjoyed a date with a mystery woman in Hollywood.

Their reunion comes after Jennifer broke the internet when she posted a rare photo of all six of the Friends cast together.

She joined Matthew, Courteney, Lisa, David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc for dinner at Courteney's house.

It prompted rumours that the cast were set to get the old gang back together once more, but Jen denied there would be a reunion.

Speaking on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she said her and her fellow stars would love there to be "something" but they aren't yet sure what that "something" is.
