Moneyball data analyst predicts Liverpool's chances of winning Champions League

A prominent data analyst has predicted who will win this season's Champions League final.

Nate Silver is a leading statistician who wrote the book which influenced the Moneyball strategy - a formula on how to win in baseball using stats.

The American accurately predicted who would win the 2008 and 2012 US elections, and was subsequently named on TIME magazine's list of 100 influential people in 2009.

His prediction will make positive reading for Reds' fans as Jurgen Klopp's side travel out to Spain to take on Barcelona on Wednesday night.
