Moneyball data analyst predicts Liverpool's chances of winning Champions League against Tottenham Hotspur

A prominent data analyst has predicted who will win this season's Champions League final, and it makes positive reading for Liverpool fans.

Nate Silver is a leading statistician who wrote the book which influenced the Moneyball strategy - a formula on how to win in baseball using stats.

The American founded a website called Five Thirty Eight which combines various information and statistics and predicts the outcomes of certain events such as elections.

Silver's data model accurately predicted Manchester City would become 2018/19 Premier League champions.

And now the website believes the Reds will defeat Tottenham Hotspur in Madrid on June 1.
