A woman has shared her money-saving trick to dry clothes for just 4p - without having to keep the heating on.
As the cost of living continues to rise, many of us are looking for tips to cut back on spending, especially when it comes to household bills.
Liz Reynolds suggest one budget-friendly way to keep energy costs down is by investing in a heated clothes rail, which can dry washing for just 4p an hour without needing to turn on the central heating.
Writing to Manchester Evening News, she said: "When I work from home I have a heated clothes rail in my office, it’s only 4p an hour to run and I can leave the rest of the heating off."
She added: "We don’t have a tumble dryer, the heated rails are brilliant."
Heated clothes airers are sold in various retailers including John Lewis, Argos and Dunlem.
Aldi sometimes has a heated implement as a Special Buy, but at the moment, they are not in stock.
