The team at Money Saving Expert, founded by Martin Lewis, is urging former customers of holiday provider Thomas Cook to submit a claim.
Thomas Cook went into administration in 2018, causing many to lose their holidays they had booked.
A claims portal was set up in 2021 but The Government's Official Receiver says that there are thousands of eligible former customers who still need to claim a refund.

As MSE reports, those who'd booked with the following brands are those most likely to receive a full or partial refund:
- Thomas Cook Airlines Limited.
- Thomas Cook Group Treasury Limited.
- Thomas Cook Group Tour Operations Limited.
- Thomas Cook Money Limited.
- Thomas Cook UK Limited.
- MyTravel Group Limited.
To get a refund you need to complete a form on the Thomas Cook Claims website.
According to MSE, there is no deadline and you can submit more than one claim. They also add that if your claim gets rejected you still have up to 21 days to appeal it.
You may be asked for proof of booking, such as proof of payment or booking reference.
MSE also warn that The Official Receiver said you may only get a partial refund, depending on how much money is available once the companies have gone through liquidation.
If you don't get a full refund due to the company not having the cash, then you may be able to claim through your credit card provider under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act.
