Money laundering case: ED questions Maharashtra minister Anil Parab for 6 hours, calls him again today

MUMBAI: Enforcement Directorate questioned Shiv Sena leader and state transport minister Anil Parab for around six hours on Wednesday in a money laundering case.

Parab arrived at the ED office in the evening after attending the cabinet meeting. He left around 10.30pm.

The ED has called him again on Thursday for further questioning. ED sources stated they need to ascertain certain transactions and asked him for some documents.

While leaving the ED office, Parab said till the ongoing drama continues, he will have to keep visiting it. He said he will attend the ED office whenever the agency calls him for questioning. On Tuesday, too, the ED had questioned Parab for around 11 hours in the case.

Parab is a close aide of the chief minister. He was a key person handling his party affairs during the recent Rajya Sabha seat and MLC elections. He is also handling the responsibility of planning his party’s strategy for the coming BMC election. The ED is investigating the case pertaining to a resort in Dapoli.
