Monday was first time in Thunder history teammates had triple-doubles

Russell Westbrook and Paul George became the first two teammates in Thunder history on Monday night to record a triple-double in the same game, according to the team.

Westbrook scored 21 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists to become the first player in NBA history to record a triple-double in 10 straight games as the Thunder defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 120-111.

Meanwhile, George recorded just his third career triple-double on Monday with 47 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists as it also marked the second straight game for George with at least 45 points.

The feat took both players nearly the entire game to achieve as Westbrook dished out his 10th assist with just under four minutes to go while George hit Westbrook for his 10th assist with just 51.4 seconds remaining.

While Westbrook and George accomplished a rare feat on Monday, the game proved to be a crucial win for the Thunder as they now hold the tiebreaker over the Trail Blazers after clinching the season series.

The Thunder improved to 37-19 with the win.
