Seven Envelopes
8pm, Watch

In this new gameshow, seven members of the public – this week from Sheffield – are approached in the street and given one of seven golden envelopes. In said envelopes are prizes ranging from a paltry one penny to a princely £10,000. Without knowing the amount they have, the punters are then offered the chance to swap their envelope for a mystery silver box, which may contain a better or worse prize. It’s a bit like Deal Or No Deal, but without the mysticism, or any other redeeming features for that matter. Ben Arnold

Alex Polizzi: Chefs On Trial
8pm, BBC2

The Cunliffes, owners of an upmarket hotel in the Lake District, need to find an executive chef. They’ll pay a six-figure salary to the right candidate, one who cares as much about the business as they do. Leaving aside a certain cynicism towards the way organised capital expects people to share its values, the search makes for good telly, as we watch three candidates put through their cooking paces and given face-to-face interviews. MasterChef meets reality TV, if that’s not a contradiction. Continues tomorrow. Jonathan Wright

Safe House
9pm, ITV

Haunted by the death of a witness under his protection, retired detective Christopher Eccleston runs a Lake District B&B with his schoolteacher wife (Marsha Thomason). When an old cop colleague (Paterson Joseph) persuades the couple to shelter a vulnerable family targeted by a violent criminal, it soon becomes clear no one is being entirely honest. This new four-parter has Broadchurch-style atmosphere and ambiguity in spades, but the opener is perhaps too murky for its own good. Graeme Virtue

MasterChef: The Finals
9pm, BBC1

The words “Cooking doesn’t get tougher than this” will be ringing in the finalists’ ears as they face one last week of ’Chefing. Just five remain and they’re off to Churchill College in Cambridge to cook a five-course dinner devised by Michael Caines in honour of the man himself. That’s Churchill, not Caines. Tonight’s challenge doesn’t end there as they then have to cook a dish inspired by one of their own heroes. Four go through to face more pressure on Wednesday at 8pm, hoping for a place in Friday’s grand final. Hannah Verdier

Inside Harley Street
9pm, BBC2

Vanessa Engle’s exploration of the medical professionals working wonders within W1 continues, with a look at Harley Street’s army of cosmetic practitioners. With an international clientele jetting in to enhance their aesthetic qualities, it’s certainly not a surprise that resident doctors must pay a hefty stipend to operate within the famed Georgian terraces. Their services aren’t restricted to billionaires, though, as we see a Walsall care worker ploughing his savings into a potentially life-enhancing procedure. Mark Jones

Raised By Wolves
10pm, Channel 4

Series one of Caitlin and Caz Moran’s loosely autobiographical sitcom about the unorthodox Garry brood bows out. Desperate to corner newly single Lee, Germaine (Helen Monks) enlists her sisters – misanthropic Aretha (Alexa Davies) and meek Yoko (Molly Risker) – for a night out at an infamous Wolverhampton club. Cue fake incest, silly scheming and a boy-themed revelation for Germaine. Elsewhere, mum Della (Rebekah Staton) has an unconventional date with the suitor she met at Uncle Natie’s barbecue. Hannah J Davies

Silicon Valley
10pm, Sky Atlantic

Now in its second season, Mike Judge’s startup-skewering sitcom remains that rarest of things: a comedy where you care about plot minutiae as much, if not more, than the gags. There are plenty of those too, mind, with this opening episode seeing the Pied Piper team utilising the dating dark art of “negging” to instigate a bidding war among venture capitalists. Elsewhere, there’s a nice send-off for Christopher Evan Welch, who played bizarro tech savant Peter Gregory in the show’s first season, and died in 2013. Gwilym Mumford
