Monaghan's David Garland has been announced as the player of the tournament for the Sigerson Cup.
As well as winning the Electric Ireland Higher Education GAA Rising Stars Football Player of the Year, Garland is one of six DCU Dochas Eireann players selected on the third level team of the year after the Dublin college claimed the title for the fifth time this year.
The team is completed by four players from beaten finalists IT Carlow, while Letterkenny Institute of Technology and UCD have two each, with the selection completed by Kerry’s Gavin O’Brien, who won the Trench Cup with CIT.
A scheduled awards ceremony to present the players with their momentos has been cancelled in light of the COVID-19 outbreak.
