Monaghan based company Irish HomeCare to create 750 jobs

Monaghan-based company Irish HomeCare is creating 750 new jobs across the country.

The new positions will include carer roles, managers, nurses and administrative support.

These jobs, which are being recruited for immediately, will lead to a doubling of Irish HomeCare’s workforce in Ireland to 1,500 over the next 18 months.

At least 700 of the jobs available are flexible carer roles.

The remaining 50 roles are full-time positions which include nurses, tutors, operational managers and supervisors, and other administrative and support staff.

The care roles are being recruited in 24 counties nationwide.

Most of the these are being sought in the east of the country, with 370 available in Leinster.

However, recruitment is also taking place across the country with 130 roles available in Munster, 110 in Connaught and 90 in Ulster.

In addition to the new jobs, Irish HomeCare is also investing in a new Dublin base in Park West.

Tánaiste and Employment Minister Leo Varadkar said: "This is an incredible expansion from Irish HomeCare which will see 750 new care jobs created, doubling the company’s workforce.

"These are jobs doing essential work for those that need it most, in communities all across the country.

"I wish Irish HomeCare the very best of luck with this expansion, as it continues to provide this vital service.”

John Florence, Chief Executive Officer, Irish HomeCare, added: "We have experienced a significant surge in demand for our services across the country and are delighted to be adding 750 new roles so that we can continue to provide the highest standards of care to vulnerable people in our society.

"Through our extensive range of support services, we enable people to maintain their independence in the comfort of their own homes within their communities."
