Monaco royal family member to join Nottingham Forest as 'senior advisor' - report

The nephew of Prince of Monaco Albert II is poised to join Nottingham Forest, according to a report in France.

Louis Ducruet will join the Reds as a ‘senior advisor’, says respected French publication L’Equipe.

The 27-year-old stepped down from his post as a vice-presidential advisor at AS Monaco in July and has said he is looking for a “new adventure” and a “new challenge”.

Ducruet started out in the Ligue 1 side’s commercial department. He went on to become part of their recruitment team before becoming assistant to AS Monaco’s vice president in February 2019.

The son of Princess Stephanie of Monaco is said to have been approached by clubs in Switzerland and Belgium, but has decided to join Forest side because he found the “best compromise” and “optimal working conditions”, according to the L’Equipe report.

The report adds Ducruet will sign a two-year deal at the City Ground. His role will see him “work in the international recruitment of Nottingham Forest with consulting activities in marketing and communication”.

His new role will also “allow him to meet his protocol commitments” in Monaco.
