Moment woman is forced to defend herself by kicking man away as he lunges at her on bus

A concerned woman filmed the moment she kicked out at a man who approached her after staring in her direction for several minutes aboard the deserted top deck of a bus.

In the footage the unknown man is seen looking over at the female passenger several times as the vehicle makes its way along the road.

Seemingly unfazed at being recorded, he continues to smile in her direction, wave and blow kisses.

The situation took a sinister turn however when the bus stopped as he suddenly stood up and went across to the lone woman, saying: “Cheeky, cheeky.”

Concerned, she raises her legs and kicks him back into his seat before getting up and saying: “No, no, no, that’s it.”

The video, titled POV: Ur A Woman, was shared to TikTok, where it has so far been viewed more than 19 million times.

One person commented on the footage: “This is why I hate going on public transport.

“It’s scary being a woman in public without having the fear of this happening to you.”

Another answered: “Bro I got terrified when he stood up, you are so brave I would have screamed at him.”

Another added: “Omg, I’m so sorry! Good on you for managing to record it, get his face out there, hope you’re okay, lovely.”

Another replied: “OMG even I got scared when he got up and it’s through the phone.”

Chillingly, several people reported similar experiences on board public transport when they were alone at night.

Some went as far as to say they avoid it at all costs, while one woman revealed she cuts her hair short to hide her gender on board buses.

One said: “It’s got to the stage I don’t go out at night if I don’t have to, it’s scary out there.

“People say if it happens get off the bus but why should I have to?

“Also if I do I could be miles from home, out on the streets alone.

“No thank you.”
