Moment two ‘ghosts’ work out at outdoor gym as baffled police officers watch on

Bizarre footage shows the moment two apparent ghosts work out at an outdoor gym, leaving police officers baffled.

In the video, three officers stand around two pieces of gym equipment, which suddenly start operating on their own.

Amazed by what he is watching, one of the officers starts filming the equipment moving unaided.

The video was filmed in Kanshiram Park in the city of Jhansi in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh during night time.

Police spokesperson Rahul Srivastav shared the spooky clip, which was been viewed 185,000 times on Twitter.

He added the caption: "Fitness freak ghost?".

While most saw the funny side to the video, some on social media claimed it was real and that the gym was being controlled by supernatural forces.

One person tweeted: "I usually don’t believe in ghosts, But this video of a garden in Delhi... scared the s**t out of me."

Another said: "Believe it or not but Ghosts have started doing exercise and this happened at Rohini Japani park around 2 Oclock last night !!"

However, not everyone was convinced.

Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi said: “This video going viral from Kanshiram Park, the truth is only this - It keeps moving for some time on its own if you set it in motion.

“You can't say there is a ghost. This is just a prank someone is playing to bring bad name to the park.

"People are even saying that because the park is named after Kashiram maybe it is his ghost who is doing that. This is all false. Don't spread such rumours.”

But any reports of ghost activity were quickly downplayed after a source said "it was down to a few miscreants who had applied grease to the moving part".

"With a light push, the machine was able to operate without supervision due to the greasy nature of it," they added.
