Moment Tinkerbell the horse was rescued from ditch

Hopefully Tinkerbell the horse was thinking happy thoughts as she was rescued by a crew of firefighters yesterday (September 13).

A team of large animal rescue specialists from Bedminster Fire Station were on hand to help poor Tinkerbell after she found herself stuck in a ditch in Puxton near Weston-super-Mare.

But it appears that hopefully Tinkerbell didn’t know too much about the rescue as she was sedated before being hoisted out of the ditch by the team and her owner.

(Bedminster Fire Station)

A tweet from Bedminster fire Station said: “Large animal rescue specialists from #RedWatch rescued Tinkerbell the from a ditch in #Puxton this morning.

“Access, assess, plan, sedation, secure, transport, tea! #Happydays  #notjustfires #Horses.”

By the sounds of it, it was a happy ending for all involved and there were no reports of injury to poor Tinkerbell.
