Seagulls… They really do take the biscuit – or in this case, a KFC chicken wrap.
In a video posted to TikTok, which has since received more than 2 million views, Matthew McGill can be seen tucking in to a meal from the restaurant chain, before a seagull swoops down and tries to nab a bite out of his mouth.
To the tune of “Oh No” by Kreepa, the bird can be seen, picture-by-picture, going for the snack before flying away. Mr McGill can then be seen running away, in what are no doubt traumatising scenes for the teenager.
“Seagull 1, Matthew 0,” the caption reads.
His sister Sophie was the one filming, and later uploaded the video to TikTok.
She told the Daily Record that the video was filmed on Thursday, outside a KFC in Greenock, Scotland.
“It was the funniest thing ever. I immediately posted it to my Snapchat story.
“He was a bit traumatised to say the least … It’s been quite funny … You don’t usually see a seagull swoop into a mouth,” she said.
It seems Mr McGill wasn’t the only one shocked by the incident, as the comments soon flooded in under Ms McGill’s post.
“Seagulls in Greenock are a different breed,” wrote one.
Another responded: “IT ACTUALLY GOT INSIDE HIS MOUTH.”
While a third wrote: “I’d be raging.”
As for the fate of the wrap? Ms McGill revealed to the Record that it was binned after the incident.
A tragedy.
