Moment Scots driver narrowly avoids smash after overtaking two cars near primary school

The moment a Scots driver overtakes two vehicles and narrowly avoids smashing into another near a primary school has been caught on camera.

Dashcam footage captured the incident around 2.30pm on Thursday in Perth and Kinross village Balbeggie.

The reckless incident attracts frustration from other drivers as one motorist begins to beep before ranting about the behaviour.

In the footage, the grey coloured vehicle can be seen moving out onto the other side of the road - overtaking the car with a dash cam.

The driver appears to speed past the first vehicle immediately after an entrance to Balbeggie Primary School.

After this, the driver continues on the wrong side of the road to overtake another vehicle in front.

Bold white writing saying slow can clearly be seen on the road as the motorist continues to speed to get in front.

When the driver eventually gets past the other car, they quickly pull in and narrowly avoid a smash with a vehicle travelling on the other side of the road.

The footage was shared on social media by the driver with dash cam footage, who said they had reported to the driver to the police.

It has since been viewed thousands of times with other road users left unimpressed by the overtaking driver.

One said: "Sure I've seen this car driving like that before around that area. A complete liability and accident waiting to happen."

Another added: "Shocking, hope this gets passed on the police.

"Should be jailed for driving like that!! Passing a primary school entrance at that speed....matter of time before a life is lost."

Police Scotland said they were not aware of this incident.
