This is the moment Scots council workers cut the grass around man passed out on the ground.

Coral Masson spotted the man who was lying unresponsive on the grassy patch in the Broadsea area of Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire.

Local authority gardeners appeared to have finished the rest of the job as he lay amongst long grass and flowers .

But Aberdeen Council have confirmed workers were forced to call an ambulance for the man as pictures have emerged showing him lying within the uncut section.

It's understood the incident took place on Monday.

An Aberdeenshire Council spokesperson said: “On discovering the collapsed man in Fraserburgh, our Landscape Operative checked the individual for breathing and a pulse, he tried to put him in the recovery position, but he kept rolling on his back.

"The operative alerted the emergency services and then waited for an ambulance to arrive. We hope the individual makes a speedy and full recovery.”
