Moment police descend on Harehills road in late night swoop and 'put lad in cuffs'

Police were seen putting a man 'in cuffs' in an apparent arrest operation in a Harehills road yesterday evening.

A video, captured by neighbour Adam Bowler, shows West Yorkshire Police officers in discussions on Roundhay Mount and Gledhow Valley Road.

One officer looks to be searching a car parked by the side of the road.

Adam said: "There is a silver car middle of Roundhay Mount at the bottom and another at the bottom of street. Police said they are speaking to a couple of lads.

"[They were] looking for something as well and one lad was in cuffs."

He added: "There was a few officers, in two police cars and unmarked police cars as well.

"Looks like a container to put a knife in."

West Yorkshire Police have been approached for comment.
