Footage shows an angry neighbour threatening to call the police after a gardener "made too much noise” while cutting the lawn.
The video has gone viral as it divides opinion on who is in the right - with many divided over the actions of the fed-up resident in Sydney, Australia.
Jason Selmes, uploaded the clip on YouTube of him tackling the wild grass in the front garden of the property.
And after he claimed he had been there for two hours, the irritated resident is seen coming along to tell him to stop as he was giving him a "f***ing headache”.
"Mate, I’m just from up the road, how long are you going to be doing this for?" asked the neighbour. "All morning you’ve given me a f***ing headache. You need to finish it up."
But when the gardener said he was "allowed to mow lawns” and would need another couple of hours, the disgruntled resident threatened to call the police.
He said: "Do you think I care about that. Let me tell you again, I'm going to be a nice guy for another 15 minutes all right.
"You’ve got 15 minutes before I call the police. I can't have this all morning."
Mr Selmes said that he has a right to cut lawns and he was just "helping somebody out”.
He said on the video: "I’m allowed to mow lawns in the morning or any time during the day between reasonable hours.
"The neighbours have seen this lawn is bad, and no one has even bothered to come and help them. I’m here mowing the lawn, I’m here to help somebody out, that’s all I’m here to do".
But the neighbour wasn’t finished and returned saying again he would call the police.
"Fifteen minutes, I’ll call the police. You make up your own mind," he said.
Mr Selmes replied: "Go and call the police then, I don’t really care. Seeya."
Local laws in the state mean that lawnmowers can be used between 7am and 8pm Monday to Saturday.
So far more than 1.8 million people have now watched the video and given their opinion.
One person sided with the gardener saying: "After that encounter with that miserable neighbour, I would have definitely taken my time and made sure every inch of that property was perfect! You handled it better than I would have, great job with that and the lawn clean up."
Another agreed: "Your reaction was perfect! Especially the part of he could have helped his neighbor out. That got Under his skin really quick! Good for you, man, and to back you up, yes, you can perform your work within reasonable daylight hours.
But another back the neighbour saying: "In his defence, after an hour of weed whacking I would have been mildly annoyed."
