Moment Hungarian cops arrest Irish man wanted by gardai in connection with child porn offences

Here is the moment Hungarian Police arrested an Irish man wanted by gardai in connection with child porn offences.

The man, who fled Ireland in February 2016, was nabbed by the country's police force as part of a joint operation by the European Network of Fugitive Active Search Teams [ENFAST].

The man had been charged in Ireland but failed to appear in court sparking a man hunt to bring him back.

Dramatic footage shows police leading him out of an apartment complex in Budapest before being searched and handcuffed.

Police say he had been funding himself by working as an English teacher.

The man, known as 'Daniel C', left Ireland after child porn was allegedly found stored on a computer following a search in his home.

Last Saturday an order was made for his arrest and gardai contacted Hungarian cops.

The man's address was immediately identified by bounty hunters who passed the information on, according to local media.

He was arrested on December 11th it's expected he'll be handed over to Irish Authorities within the next ten days .

The Department of Foreign Affairs and the garda press office have been contacted for comment.
