Moment England fans chant 'it's coming home' to drown out anti-lockdown protest

This is the moment England fans drown out an anti-lockdown protest by chanting "it's coming home".

The clip was filmed this weekend in Brighton ahead of the Euro 2020 final between England and Italy.

Piers Corbyn, the older brother of Jeremy Corbyn, joined the demonstration.

The 74-year-old was using a megaphone in the city centre to spew anti-lockdown messages.

However, his efforts were drowned out by enthusiastic England fans singing "it's coming home".

One fan even took Piers' microphone and used it to belt out the banger Three Lions.

One passerby told The Argus : "You couldn't make out what he was going on about.

"He was with a woman who seemed to be dressed as a mermaid wearing a crown and carrying a stuffed pink unicorn.

"It was all very boisterous but good-natured, he took it well and, in the end, he just gave up".

The scene was shared on social media and some responded online to the video writing "Gotta love England".

Not long after this demonstration, Piers was filmed shouting "clear off you disgusting specimens" as a vaccination bus left the mobile centre.

The bus had stopped administering jabs on Sunday in Hove when anti-lockdown protesters targeted the vehicle.

NHS Brighton and Hove CCG announced that vaccinations on Hove Lawns were postponed "to ensure that everyone is able to receive their vaccine safely and without any pressure put upon them".

The healthcare provider said its staff "experienced disruption during the anti-lockdown measures protest in the city".

Councillor Phelim Mac Cafferty tweeted: “It is incredibly disappointing to see the irresponsible actions of a few putting in danger the many.

“We encourage everyone to take up both vaccinations at the earliest point."
