This dramatic photo captures the moment huge plumes of smoke were sent billowing over a Wirral neighbourhood this morning.
A driver passing through the area captured the scene on her way through Saughall Massie at around 11am on Thursday.
The photo shows thick clouds of dark smoke appearing to spew out of the engine of a tractor parked on Saughall Road , close to the junction with Hoylake Road.
From the thick blanket of smoke at the source, the plumes could be seen billowing 30 feet into the sky.
The plumes reach high above the roofs of the houses lining the street, with one vehicle appearing to be stopped at the end of the smoke cloud and unable to drive through.
The ECHO contacted Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service who had no log of reports received regarding any issues in the area.
