Moment easyJet plane aborts landing at Bristol Airport in Storm Ciara high winds

An easyJet plane was forced to loop around Bristol Airport because of high winds.

The pilot of the flight from Faro attempted a landing at 1.33pm today (February 10), but had to try again as Storm Ciara winds battered the plane.

You can watch footage of the moment the landing was aborted at the top of this page.

The flight eventually arrived safely at 1.56pm.

Our photographer Chris Nicholls was on the scene to capture the aborted landing and said the plane was "looping" around the airport for more than 20 minutes afterwards.

Almost every flight to Bristol Airport today has been delayed, as Storm Ciara continues to affect travel.
