- The men attempted to flee on foot after their boat became stranded but were quickly apprehended by Border Force officers.
- The individuals involved were identified as Peter Williams, 43, Scott Johnston, 38, and Edwin Yahir Tabora Baca, 33. They have now been jailed for 16 years, 24 years, and 17 years respectively.
