Moment Charles teases Trump about golf courses during state banquet

  • King Charles made a joke about Donald Trump’s golf courses during a state banquet held at Windsor Castle on Wednesday.
  • Addressing 160 guests, the King applauded the “special relationship” between the US and UK, calling the two countries “the closest of kin”.
  • He referenced Mr Trump’s British roots and his ties to Scotland, quipping that “British soil makes for rather splendid golf courses!”.
  • Mr Trump owns two golf resorts in Scotland, with one having opened in Aberdeenshire in July.
