This is the moment a brazen thief steals a puppy during a daylight raid on a house in Coventry.
After a family returned home to find their place had been ransacked, they caught the burglars in action on CCTV.
Tyson, an XL bulldog puppy, is seen being placed into a laundry bag and taken away by one of the thieves.
The poor pup has since been returned home after he was found by the side of the road by some kids, reports Coventry Live.
Posting to Facebook, the owner said: “Tyson is ok, he is cold, tired, and hungry, and had been left out in the cold to fend for himself. Nothing plenty of snuggles won’t solve.”
The callous thieves also stole an engagement ring, clothing and jewellery in the raid.
West Midlands Police are now appealing for any information related to the suspect.
DC Mario Poleszak, from force CID, said, shortly before Tyson was found: "The burglar was determined to get his hands on whatever he could, taking sentimental items and stooping as low as taking a young pup.
"The owner had only had Tyson - who is just a few months old - for a week and we’re determined to find him and the thief."
