Moment Bristol taxi driver gets buzzed off of Britain's Got Talent stage

A Bristol taxi driver appeared in Britain's Got Talent dressed as a lobster - but the audition didn't go entirely as he'd have hoped.

Derek Neate is a taxi driver from Bristol currently living in Weston-super-Mare.

In last night's (Saturday, May 9) episode of the talent show, the 49-year-old sang an original song while playing the ukulele and dancing.

He told the judges: "I would like this song to hopefully be as good as baby shark."

But the judges weren't impressed and he got buzzed off the stage.

The baby shark song was created by a YouTube channel called Pinkfong - a Korean channel for kids. It makes videos of sing-along songs and dances.

Starting as a catchy jingle the Baby Shark song grabbed children's attention, and soon became a social media challenge.

The song, about a shark family, became a hit with children and adults around the world.

The taxi driver's performance was widely discussed on social media.

Now in its 14th series, ITV's Britain's Got Talent is presented by Ant and Dec.

Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams return to the panel as judges.
