Moment biker bursts into tears after being caught driving at 183mph by police

This is the moment a motorcyclist burst into tears after being caught driving at 183mph during a police chase.

Dashcam footage shared by the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety reveals the moment Michael Workman, 24, realises he made a big mistake by trying to get away from the police.

He had headed out with some other bikers for a high speed ride down Interstate 35 in Oklahoma on April 25 when they were spotted breaking the limit.

If he had have stopped when asked to do so by police, he was told he would have probably just got a ticket, but he decided to put the pedal down, reaching speeds of 183mph.

Weaving in and out of traffic, the video shows Workman being chased by Oklahoma State Highway Trooper Walter Jack.

Once the officer catches up with him, Workman is arrested, handcuffed and put in the police car, where he starts to sob.

He starts to apologise, and the officer says he would have only received a ticket if he had stopped when asked.

In response to the tears from Workman, the officer warns: "Now you got to listen to my terrible music. Hang tight."

Workman is facing several charges, including endangering others and eluding a police officer.

He could be handed a prison sentence or receive a fine of up to $5,000.

The other two riders he was with are understood to have also been apprehended by police.
