Mom, baby stabilized after crash in South Shore

A mother and her baby were stabilized after the vehicle they were in crashed into a telephone pole Monday afternoon in the South Shore neighborhood.

The crash happened about 12:50 p.m. at the intersection of 72nd Street and Jeffery Boulevard, according to preliminary information from police.

They were taken to a hospital, where their conditions stabilized, police said.

Additional details were not immediately released.
