Molly-Mae Hague says she's ready to get married now after months of engagement rumours

Molly-Mae Hague says she is ready to be Tommy Fury’s wife two years after they fell for each other on Love Island.

The 22-year-old reality star says her relationship with boxing star Tommy is “perfect” and she is ready to take things to the next level.

Molly-Mae and 22-year-old Tommy competed on Love Island back in 2019 where they finished in second place behind winners Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea - whose own romance collapsed soon after the show finished airing.

But the love is still strong between Molly-Mae and Tommy and the couple may soon be heading down the aisle together despite previously suggesting marriage was not on the cards.

Speaking on the Behind Closed Doors podcast with PrettyLittleThing on Tuesday, Molly-Mae hinted she is desperate for Tommy to get down on bended knee and propose.

She gushed: “I’d like a ring soon, please… at some point.

“I am still the perfect girlfriend, me and Tommy that's like a whole other thing, we hardly knew each other back then.

“We were just getting started and now we've been together 2 and a bit years and it’s been the best 2 and a bit years of my life with everything with my work, with my relationship.”

She added: “I’m just so lucky.”

While Molly-Mae painted a picture of domestic and relationship bliss, she did hint that it can be difficult having the romance play out in the public eye.

She said: “As long as Tommy and I know what's going on in our relationship which we always do, people can say whatever. It takes a lot to upset me.

“Were really strong in our relationship like that's one part in my life that I'm extremely secure in, there's other things I worry about all the time but my relationship just isn't one of them.

“Every night I go to bed just knowing that I always say that I could chuck my boyfriend in a club with loads of girls and he's just not bothered about other girls, he's so for me and I just love that.”

She added: “I’m so so blessed to have him.”

Rumours have swirled for months that Tommy and Molly-Mae will soon become husband and wife – although they have sent out mixed messages themselves.

Back in May, the couple slammed rumours they were engaged – after photos emerged of the pair seemingly wearing wedding bands.

Dismissing the rumours at the time, Molly-Mae hit out on Instagram saying: “This really makes me laugh because I did see a few of you commenting on Tommy's last picture saying 'he's wearing a ring'.

"Like, do you guys really think we'll announce to you that we're engaged by a sneaky picture of Tommy wearing a ring?"

Pulling an exasperated face, Molly added: "Like...no."

But by July, Tommy conceded he might soon ask Molly-Mae to marry him, as he engaged with fans in a Q&A where he was asked "When are you putting a ring on it?" and he replied: “soon”.
