Molly Mae Hague says she 'hates herself' for using chin strap after dissolving filler

Molly Mae Hague has revealed she has started sleeping with a chin strap in attempt to sculpt her face.

It comes after the 20-year-old reality star admitted she underwent cosmetic surgery at the age of 18 by having dermal fillers inserted into her jawline but claimed she ended up looking worse.

Taking to Instagram in the early hours of Sunday morning, Molly Mae shared a selfie of her in bed wearing a bright yellow support over her face and neck.

"Just trying a chin sculpting mask. What else to do at 1am," she told her followers. "Hate myself," she added.

Hours later Molly Mae returned to social media to unveil the results.

"I mean it actually kind of worked?" she asked.

"Probably better doing it in the day but I can see a difference," she observed.

Earlier this week, Molly Mae opened up about her past struggles with cosmetic surgery.

Before arriving on Love Island in 2019, the social media influencer decided to have facial fillers to try and reshape her jawline.

Speaking candidly on her YouTube channel, she revealed: "In the long run it makes you look worse. I was trying to sharpen this area here," pointing to her chin. "What it did was make it look bigger. It looked like I had jowls. I had “square head”, “blockhead”.’

Molly Mae said she then became a target for trolls.

"People called me Quagmire from [Family Guy]. The worst one is that I look like an X-Box controller!"

In February this year, Molly Mae admitted she had gone 'too far' with lip fillers and had started the process of having them dissolved.

She said she made the decision after receiving abuse from strangers online after she left the villa.

"I have got most of filler dissolved, obviously I used to get filler and when I came out of Love Island I got a little bit more filler and for me that was the worst time for me coming out of the villa – the trolling I got for that was really intense.

"It was really horrible but I can understand why it happened because I went overboard with it and I didn’t really realise what I was doing and I just went too far.

"It was just a really, really bad time because I had literally come out of the villa and that is the time you are most scrutinised," she said.
