Molly-Mae Hague is hiring to grow her fake tan business.
The former Love Island star has been looking for a social media content creator for her fake tan brand Filter by Molly-Mae.
The job ad, which says the position would be temporarily remote, reads: "We are looking for an enthusiastic Social Media Executive to play a fundamental role in the day to day management of the social channels for the fast growing and thriving tanning brand.
"As a member of the brand team your day-to-day activities will involve creating and executing the social media strategy and content with the aim to drive growth on each platform and contribute to driving traffic to the site."
But people were incredibly unhappy after false reports that the full-time position, based in Manchester, was being advertised for just £16,845 a year.
People were upset about the proposed salary after Molly's appearance on podcast The Diary of a CEO, during which she used the quote about everyone having the same 24 hours in the day as Beyonce.
People felt like she was suggesting that everyone could be a millionaire like her if they simply worked hard enough, and many weren't happy, branding her comments "tone deaf".
And anger had initially erupted after a screenshot of the job ad was posted on Twitter.
However, the Mirror understands that the figure was wrong, and the company was always offering a salary ranging from £20-25,000.
A tweet about the job sparked debate, with some continuing the criticism of Molly-Mae and others coming to her defence.
Molly-Mae has made a fortune since leaving Love Island alongside her boyfriend Tommy Fury in 2019, thanks in part to some huge brand deals.
She landed a job as creative director for the UK/EU at fashion brand PrettyLittleThing, and more recently was reported to have signed a seven-figure deal with Beauty Works.
After her comments sparked controversy, Molly spoke out to apologise to those she offended.
She wrote on her Instagram story: "I wanted to come back online today as normal but I feel like before I do I just wanted to say this…
"When I say or post anything online, it is never with malice or ill intent.
"I completely appreciate that things can affect different people in different ways however I just want to stress that I would never intend to hurt or upset anyone by anything that I say or do."
She added: "I apologise to the people that have been affected negatively or misunderstood the meaning of what I said in the podcast, the intentions of the podcast were only ever to tell my story and inspire from my own experience."
Molly had caused uproar when she said on a podcast: "You’re given one life and it’s down to you what you do with it. You can literally go in any direction.
"When I’ve spoken about that in the past I have been slammed a little bit, with people saying ‘it’s easy for you to say that because you’ve not grown up in poverty, so for you to sit there and say we all have the same 24 hours in a day is not correct.’ But, technically, what I’m saying is correct. We do."
She went on: "I understand we all have different backgrounds and we’re all raised in different ways and we do have different financial situations, but I think if you want something enough you can achieve it.
"It just depends on what lengths you want to go to get where you want to be in the future. And I’ll go to any length."
Molly added that she had 'worked her a**e off' to get where she is today.
