Molly-Mae Hague 'putting on brave face and wants fresh start' after £800k burglary

Molly-Mae Hague is ‘putting on a brave face’ following the £800k burglary which took place in her plush Manchester pad.

The former Love Island star, 22, was left shaken last week when her beloved home was targeted by thieves while she and her beau, Tommy Fury, were partying in London at a Beauty Works Christmas launch.

When the lovebirds returned to their Cheshire home – where they have lived for almost two years – they were horrified to learn that £800k worth of their possessions had been stolen, including a large selection Molly-Mae's luxury jewellery.

Just days after the burglary, Molly-Mae braved the red carpet of the annual Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards, where she insisted that she’s now focusing on the future and leaving the terrifying incident in the past.

Molly arrived on the red carpet in a stunning gown from PrettyLittleThing and she went completely jewellery-free for the event.

Now, sources have revealed that Molly is putting on a brave face after the burglary, but she is still shaken up after being forced to flee the beloved pad which she and Tommy called home for so long.

“Despite being really shaken-up, Molly is putting on a brave face and it’s business as usual,” the insider told New Magazine.

“She’s trying to keep smiling and Tommy is supporting her.”

The source went on to reveal that although Molly is trying her best to move on from the incident, she can’t help but feel unsafe when she thinks about the intruders in her home.

“Molly doesn’t feel safe knowing that people have been snooping around her house. She feels like she’s being watched.

“They are both hoping they can put it past them and start fresh.”

Molly and Tommy were forced to move out of their beloved rented home following the break-in.

And it seems as though the lovebirds’ former home is already up for grabs.

According to The Sun an advert listing the penthouse on an estate agent's website reads: "Stunning recently developed 2500 ft2 penthouse apartment superbly located.

"Finished to an exceptional specification throughout including Miele and Neff appliances and Duravit and Hansgrohe bathroom fittings. Comprehensive security systems and data preparation."

They revealed: "They're both devastated and would never return to the flat."

Molly-Mae's fans came to her defence after trolls suggested she was to blame for the burglary after a slurry of social media posts saw her show off her expensive jewellery collection.

The influencer has reportedly told friends that she'll be more careful in future following the incident.

The source told OK! : "Molly has been left really shaken up. It was a huge robbery and it was a targeted attack."

"She’s now realised that she has to be more careful on social media and what she posts."

The Mirror has reached out to Molly-Mae's representatives for comment on this story.
