Molly-Mae Hague met with another barrage of backlash as she releases autobiography at 22

Molly-Mae Hague has been met with a new barrage of backlash after releasing an autobiography at the age of 22.

The Love Island star has announced she's penned a book about her life just one month after she was accused of making 'tone deaf' comments by suggesting everyone can be as successful as her as we "all have the same 24 hours in a day".

Molly has promised to "over-share" in the book, and while many of her fans will be dying to read it, some are questioning how much of a life story she has to share after just over two decades on the planet.

But of course, she has achieved a huge amount of success since taking part in the dating show in 2019.

She's landed a string of lucrative jobs and deals, including being named the UK/EU Creative Director of fashion brand PrettyLittleThing.

"Ok so... I did a thing...," Molly posted alongside a crying emoji and a picture of her book.

She added in a video captioned "I can't believe I can finally announce this...": "Hey guys, how we doing? I don't even know how to start what I'm about to talk to you about right now.

"I have been keeping a huge project a little secret from you guys for well over a year now, and today is finally the day when I can actually speak about what it is."

Squealing with delight, Molly held up the book and exclaimed: "So I've written my very own book! This is Becoming Molly-Mae, my first ever book and it's literally, this is my baby.

"I've honestly put so many months of work into this book, you have no idea and it's been such a journey and such an adventure.

"Venturing into this whole new world of writing a book is something I've always always wanted to do, it's been a massive dream of mine."

She added: "You guys know that I'm a massive over-sharer, but in this book I take over-sharing to a whole new extreme. I've spoken about things in this book that I have only told close family members and friends.

"You really do get the full BTS, the whole behind the scenes up until this very point, so my whole journey. It's just very special to me and I could just burst with the fact I'm now able to talk to you guys about it and the fact it's available to pre-order."

Molly also shared a post from her boyfriend Tommy Fury, who she met on Love Island.

Sharing a picture of the book, he wrote on Instagram : "Just wanna say how extremely proud of you I am @mollymae

"You have worked so so hard on this, literally can't wait to read it... love you baby"

The general public were a little more divided though, especially following the backlash over Molly-Mae's comments about everyone having the same 24 hours in a day.

"went on love island - the end," one suggested.

A second posted: "Becoming molly-mae; Chapter 1: go on love island. End of book."

While another penned: "Molly-mae writing a book called ‘becoming molly-mae’ is the least self aware thing I’ve ever seen after all that’s just happened"

And one tweeted: "I don’t mind Molly-Mae, but now she’s writing a book, really?! Come on girl, you left school about 10 minutes ago and then went on a TV Show and got famous. What’s remotely interesting about that? Whoever’s advising this girl needs the sack."

One social media user said: "Molly-Mae has missed a trick not naming her new book ‘24 hours in a day with Molly-Mae’"

"fair play to molly-mae and all that but her book is becoming molly-mae, she's like 21? surely that much hasn't in her life," another questioned.

While one joked: "Molly-Mae making use of her 24 hours by writing a book"
