Molly-Mae Hague hits back at body shamers over cruel comments

Molly-Mae Hague has slammed the body shaming trolls who criticised her appearance in new holiday photos.

Pictures showing the 21-year-old Love Island runner up wearing a bikini while on holiday in Ibiza with boyfriend Tommy Fury were published on MailOnline earlier this week.

A handful of readers responded to the paparazzi shots by writing cruel and derogatory comments about the reality star’s body underneath the article.

A Twitter user then collated some of the posts and shared them on social media, describing them as a “vile” way to “describe a normal woman’s body.”

One nasty post claimed that Hague looked “lardy” while another told her to “go to the gym.”

As the Twitter post rallying against the trolls gained traction on social media, garnering more than 15,000 retweets, Hague also re-shared it, adding her own message for the body shamers.

“Would genuinely love to know who writes these comments?” she wrote. “Like how can you actually write s**t like that and sleep at night? Beyond me.”

Hague’s Love Island co-star Amber Gill also shared her support on Twitter, writing: “She’s a 21 year old girl. It’s unhealthy to have the mindset these people do.”

Fellow Love Island 2019 contestant Maura Higgins wrote: “BE F**KING KIND!!!!! How many times do we have to say this?”

Hague and partner Fury came in second place in last year’s edition of the hit ITV2 dating show.
