Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury refused entry to supermarket after breaking new rule

Molly-Mae Hague revealed on her Instagram that she and boyfriend Tommy Fury were knocked back from entering their local supermarket.

The influencer explained that when the pair went to do their weekly shop they were caught out by a new rule banning more than one person from the same household - brought in to reduce the spread of coronavirus.

Taking to her social media, the 21-year-old explained that the pair have "completely different diets and buy completely different foods" so one of them couldn't shop for the other.

So instead, Molly-Mae decided to shop online, tagging Tesco in a post showing off her haul as it emerged from the elevator of their plush Manchester apartment.

Molly-Mae wrote: "I never do online food shopping because I way prefer to go to the shop itself.

"However we were turned away from the supermarket this week for being from the same household which I think is a new rule?

"Tommy and I have completely different diets and buy completely different foods so this seems like the best option now."

Her shopping included plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit, bottled water, eggs, rice cakes and frozen yoghurt.

In an effort to stop shoppers catching or spreading coronavirus in store, supermarkets have tightened their rules in recent weeks.

Shoppers without face masks are blocked from stores including Asda, Sainsbury's, Tesco and Morrisons, while families and couples are also blocked from entering in some instances.

That means as well as showing up bare-faced, shoppers can also be stopped at the doors if they arrive with another member of their household - as apparently happened with Molly-Mae and Tommy.

Since rocketing to fame on Love Island 2019, the 21-year-old has moved in with Tommy, with whom she shares a luxury apartment.

She also showed off her closet lined with multiple designer bags and shoes this week, valued at tens of thousands of pounds.
