Molly-Mae cuddles up to best friend Maura Higgins as she declares 'onwards and upwards' after burglary trauma

She turned heads as she walked the red carpet in an autumnal chocolate brown gown designed by herself - and Molly-Mae Hague later cuddled up to her best friend Maura Higgins at the Pride of Britain awards.

In a video clip shared on Instagram, Molly-Mae smiled and planted a kiss on Maura's cheek as the ladies enjoyed the glitzy event in London which honours the nation's unsung heroes.

The annual ceremony, hosted by Carol Vorderman and Ashley Banjo, celebrates the people who've saved lives and made big differences in their communities.

The Love Island favourite from Manchester previously wrote that it had been an 'overwhelming week' following a burglary at the home she shares with her boyfriend Tommy Fury.

But she said it was now 'onwards and upwards.'

"I can't thank you all enough for all of your kind messages regarding what happened to our home last week," she wrote as she shared a photo of her hand entwined in Tommy's.

"We are eternally grateful to have incredible and kind followers. We are safe and that's all that matters. Onwards and upwards now...."

She then shared a teaser for boxer Tommy's upcoming fight against Jake Paul on December 18.

Molly-Mae and her man were the victims of reportedly an £800,000 burglary at their apartment while they were partying in London.

A source told the Mail Online that the couple had vowed to 'never return' to the flat after it was burgled at 10pm on Thursday, October 21 and a large quantity of goods were stolen.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police told the publication: "On Friday 22 October 2021 police received a report of a burglary at a property in the Hale Barns area."

Molly-Mae, who shot to fame in the 2019 series of the ITV2 dating show Love Island, wrote "smile through the storm" as she shared a snap of herself on Instagram last week.

On Saturday morning she was seen with her own security guard, her manager and her assistant catching the train to London from Manchester Piccadilly.
