Mollie King has revealed she had a secret operation during her absence from Radio 1.
The former Saturdays singer, 38, took a break from her radio hosting slot for several weeks so she could have an operation for an undisclosed health issue.
King underwent the procedure in July - almost eight months after the birth of her second daughter, Lilianna, with her cricketer fiancé Stuart Broad.
“Hi everyone! Long time, no post!” the presenter wrote on Instagram on Wednesday alongside a carousel of snaps from the summer.
“I just wanted to say a big thank you to those of you who've sent such lovely messages over the past few weeks while I've been off Radio 1. It really does mean a lot.
“I had to take some time off in July for an operation but everything went well and I'm doing much better now.”
King hosts the Radio 1 weekday afternoon slot with Matt Edmonson as well as the Wednesday night show Future Pop.
She announced that she will be returning to the airwaves in September once she has recovered.
“I'll be back on air in September and can't wait to be back with you!” the former popstar penned.
“It feels like forever since I've been in the R1 studio... I'm even missing getting thrashed in Matt vs Mollie, so that's really saying something! Ha!”
King signed off: “In the meantime, here are a few photos from earlier in the summer!”
The singer and her partner Broad, 38, welcomed their second child Lilianna in January.
They are also parents to daughter Annabella, two.
Earlier this year, King admitted she had a “tricky” time when Lilianna was first born and went into “survival mode”.
“I feel like the first few weeks - it was the same with Annabella - I did find it quite tricky,” she told the Daily Mail.
“You're just really in that sort of survival mode of, you're up all night, you're feeding constantly, but now I'm at that stage where I'm really able to sort of enjoy it and take the most of each moment.
“And I've actually found it easy going from one to two rather than going from none to one, because I feel like I've got that little bit of experience and a bit more knowledge.”
Broad had to go south Africa almost straight after the birth so he could commentate on the Premier T20 cricket league.
King revealed she was forced to rely on her mother and in-laws for support.
