Rob Gronkowski is arguably the greatest tight end to ever play in the NFL and he’s a New England Patriots legend.
After ten incredible seasons in the league, Gronkowski had to make the decision to retire because of his history with injuries. He dealt with back issues, concussions, knee issues — and the list goes on. Therefore, the possibility of him coming out of retirement to play football again is very unlikely.
But — could he come out of retirement to embark on a new journey in the WWE? Current professional wrestler and Gronkowski’s friend Mojo Rawley believes that it’s very possible. Rawley had an in-depth interview with CBS Boston and he opened up on the Gronkowski situation.
“He just wrapped up a decade-long career breaking records,” Rawley said. “For every record he had he probably had as many injuries or surgeries putting his body on the line for the team and the fans. Right now he’s doing nothing. He’s going to lay low and stay off the television a little bit and heal up. He’ll reflect and make that next move and make that decision carefully.
“But in the future, we have talked about it extensively. Wrestling is something that he both loves watching, and that little bit of taste he had in the ring with me at WrestleMania a couple years ago with me got him all fired up. So, he’s ready to do something at some point.”
Gronkowski is no stranger to the WWE, and he could very easily become one of the most-liked personalities. This video from 2017 is proof that Gronkowski in the WWE would be ridiculously entertaining.
